Whatever we eat our mothers be worried about us. why won’t they be worried it’s the world full of unhealthy food and be honest who doesn’t love junk food? I personally love them I don’t know about others. since childhood I have been a foodie my love for food has only increased with the passing years of my life now that I no more live with my family my mom often calls me about my whereabouts and about what have I eaten and as I be busy my life is full of junk food but you know what I love the most ? grilled meat and it’s very much healthy, you don’t trust me, right?

This little world is full of views full of opinions full of facts and full of myths too . you would be thinking why am I talking about all this just like everything in this world has a reason my this statement too has a reason I have heard a lot of people say that grilling mat causes cancer so what I want to do today is know and let you all know too if it’s a myth or a fact let’s know today if grilling meat causes cancer . With lots and lots of research I have got to know that there are 2 compounds which are linked to cancer which is HCAS (heterocyclic amines) and PAHS (polycyclic aromatic) now you would be thinking how are these 2 compounds related to grilling meat so the answer is very simple these two compounds are not related to grilled meat but are linked to the high temperature of heat that we use for grill meat basically if we use high temp for grilling meat the high heat creates HCAS and PAHS.

PAHS is related to the risk of breast cancer actually what happens is that PAHs form only when the fat of the meat slowly drips on the coals (hot ones) ,the dripping creates smoke settles just like a monkey goes and settles on a tree the smoke settles on the meat and this kind of smoke is basically associated with the increasing risk of breast cancer .

Everything in this world comes with a list of do’s and don’ts and so does grilling to reduce forming HCAS and PAHS you must trim the fat if there would be less of fat then less fat would drip on the hot coals and less of smoke would be created.

One more thing if you go to the market and buy red meat then you must buy wine or beer no I’m not asking you to organize a party all I m saying is buy wine or beer so that you can marinate your red meat in wine as it reduces the number of chances of forming HCAS or you can start eating sprouts now you would be thinking why am I talking about sprouts so basically sprouts are good for our health and they make your DNA strong and strong DNA automatically reduces the chances of having cancer.

No worries it all depends on what type of pellets you are using just buy pellets of some other brand or flavor you can go for Bear Mtn pellets they are easily available in the market or you can use 4 coals and a woodchuck to produce more smoke . want more of the flavor? no worries again go to the market and get some oils like for instance if you want hickory flavor u can go and buy hickory oil.
These are some little tricks that you can perform for better results I know some people love more of smoke but basically pellet smoker does what it’s made for so making it do something is not made for sounds a bit weird to me but it’s all about what you want a little here and there and you led yourself to a new invention pellet grills are great they are easy to use easy to clean easy to store and really light weighted .

Electric smoker won’t show accurate temp: FIX

When you spend thousands of your precious bucks on an electronic device and then it turns out to be a shame to your pockets you feel like crying your heart out just the way you cried when you broke up for the first or when you failed for an exam, that exam for which you actually studied I felt the same way when I saved during last summer for buying something that I thought I would love and for which my love would never decrease.

The fix to the temperature problem
Don’t pre-heat
Set the temperature at 200 f
Don’t open the door again and again as I did ( basically when you open the door of the smoker the temperature drops straight from 200f to 70f . the temperature in the smoker and out side the smoker are 2 different temperatures opening the door again and again makes the temperature become same and it is too much for a smoker to get back to 200f from 70f again and again)
Each and every food is different so they take their own time to get smoked don’t panic just take note of the time each of them is taking
Be patient
That’s all with the fix , the problem was never with the smoker it was with the owner patience matter everywhere in life .

Cha sui bao – recipe.

For the people who don’t know what cha sui bao is, cha sui bao is pork-filled bun and it taste’s amazing, I won’t say much you can make it by following the steps below and know all about it on your own . The recipe is divided into 2 parts – The dough and The filling
Ingredients for the dough –

  • Warm water ( 1 cup )
  • Sugar (3 tablespoon )
  • Dry yeast ( 1 package , 2 ¼ teaspoon )
  • All purpose flour ( 3 ¼ cups )
  • Canola oil ( 3 tablespoons )
  • Salt ( ¼ teaspoon )
  • Baking powder ( 1 ½ teaspoons )

Ingredients you would need for the filling –

  • 5-spice powder ( ½ teaspoon )
  • Trimmed pork tenderloin ( 1 pound )
  • Green onions , thinly sliced ( 1 cup )
  • Hoisin sauce ( 3 tablespoons )
  • Rice vinegar ( 2 tablespoon )
  • Soy sauce , low sodium ( 1 tablespoon )
  • Honey ( 1 ½ teaspoon )
  • Fresh , peeled ginger ( 1 teaspoon )
  • Garlic ( minced 1 teaspoon )
  • Salt ( ¼ teaspoon )

 

Instructions

  • In the beginning, to make the filling you need to rub 5 – spice powder over the pork
  • then heat a grilling pan over medium temp after heating the pan coat it with cooking spray  once you get done with spraying add pork and cook it for about 18 minutes,

  • keep turning the pork and once you feel its cooked remove it from the pan and let it stand for at least 15 minutes.
  • You need to cut the pork into thin slices, cut it crosswise.
  • Take a medium size bowl place pork in it then add onions and all the other ingredients which are mentioned till salt.
  • in the above list stir all the ingredients well after stirring all you need to do is cover it and then refrigerate it .

  • Take a large bowl, coat it with cooking spray and after spraying place the dough in the bowl.
  • Cover the bowl and let the dough rise, keep the dough covered for about an hour.
  • Divide the dough into 10 portions and make balls of it, take a ball and fill the filling in the center.
  • bring the sides up to cover and meet at the top so that the filling doesn’t fall out, fall the same step for other balls too.

  • Arrange five buns in a line make sure you sewn two pieces together and then cover the bamboo steamer with lid.
  • Add water to a skillet (large in size), boil over high-medium heat . its time you place your steamer in the pan; steam it for 10-15 minutes.

Life of foodies revolve around food, some foodies be students who love to eat but can’t afford to go out and eat every day some be working so they can’t cook all the time some be obsessed with their cooking skills this small world is full of different types of foodies but most of them are lazy and still foodies so it was important to find worlds easiest and great looking dish and most important it was supposed to be of meat as half of the population of foodies love meat .

With the world evolving, with the competition increasing, with the availability of options, people get confused and some be stubborn and they don’t wish to walk hand in hand with the evolution everyone in this world has his / her own views and to be very honest all the opinions they matter a lot.

A few years back I was one of the stubborn types and I took swears that I would not shift to gas grills no matter what happens I was a charcoal lover back then basically I love outdoor grilling, outdoor grilling is fun I get time with my family and as I can grill well my 7-year-old daughter thinks that I’m a great cook and who doesn’t want to be his little princess’s hero. last summer I broke my swear and purchased a gas grill before I use to think that if I have to use gas grill only then why don’t I just shift to gas stove but what happen next was that the price of gas grill made me buy it when somebody goes for shopping what does that person buy?

Why does that person buy that one product only? Some buy it because of the price some buy because of the brand loyalty some buy because of space there are many reasons to buy a product I purchased a gas grill because of the convenience, gas grills are basically more convenient whereas charcoal grills give a great smoky flavor gas grills are somewhat expensive.
